ARTISTS IN ACTION AT THE MALTINGS

20th & 21st November 2010
10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

This is our annual exhibition at which each contributor gives a practical demonstration of an aspect of his or her craft. Our vision is to achieve a feeling that artists and craftsmen are in their studios or workshops. We display our work attractively and encourage visitors to talk to us. Commissions are taken and works are for sale.

The Great Dunmow Maltings date from 1560 and have been beautifully restored in recent years. They retain many original features. Access to the first floor by stairs or lift.

Paula Armstrong

WEAVING COURSE
Using a simple tapestry frame, we will learn both basic and intermediate tapestry weaving techniques.
A series of 6 classes led by Paula Armstrong, an experienced textile artist, from Tuesday 23rd February to Tuesday 30th March 2010.
All levels of ability welcome.
7.15 – 9.30 p.m. at the Friends' Meeting House, High Street, Saffron Walden
