Essex Craft Society

I am interested in making large pots for the garden and the conservatory, to be used as planters, but also to provide a decorative element in landscapes in their own right.

I am particularly interested in the structural qualities of the plants placed in the pots.

The pots are hand-built in Crank stoneware clay using applied decoration of faces and organic elements in natural colours fired to 1280 C in a reduction firing using mainly oxides and dry matt glazes.
