I started etching during the sixties, this developed at Barking and Redbridge Colleges under Harry Eccleston, Master Designer for the Bank of England. I also attended courses with Michael Rosenthal and Valerie Thornton.
My themes are the decorative aspects of architecture and the natural world. I design and print these etchings myself.
I first exhibited in London in 1974. I have shown my work with Printmakers Council, The Royal Society of Painter- printmakers and the United Nations. My work has appeared on Harlech and Anglian Television. I exhibit at magazine fairs and regularly in Essex.
Recent exhibitions and awards: Ken Howard Awards 2000/2004 2006: Gallery 47 in London - group show.
Interests: The countryside. Rural issues. Art. History. Classical music. Design. Reading. Gardening. Travel. Family.
Disciplines covered in my work: Zinc plate - working with Nitric acid and aquatine dust.
I take commissions for weddings, birthdays and retirement presents. I sell through galleries and by internet.
Visits by appointment please. People can view work at my home, but the workshop is too small and basic for visitors. I usually like to meet them beforehand. Very rarely do I have people to the house I don't know.
